About Sinta Group

Michelle Baltazar and Michael Troy are the founding directors of Sinta Group, a collective of
Filipino-Australians with a vision to broaden national awareness of Filipino arts and culture in Australia.

Sinta’s mission is to support at least one major event in Australia each year showcasing Filipino art to
the local community.

This year, we have called on Natalie Palomo to help us support our maiden project – promoting
Brillante Mendoza’s film entry “Lola” at the 2010 Sydney Film Festival. Natalie is an accomplished
producing graduate from AFTRS and has recently worked with Tony Ayres, Helen Bowden, Penny
Chapman, Michael McMahon and Helen Panckhurst for two years to build up Matchbox Pictures
culminating in $750,000 worth of enterprise funding.

and contributor to various local publications.
